Try assorted dumplings (steamed and panfried), noodles ($5 combo= 5 dumplings and side of noodles). Chili tripe highly recommended. - Korean BBQ
As for the Korean BBQ...there is a place called ChoSun Galbi Restaurant. It's a little west of Western on Olympic on the south side of the street (right next to the B of A). It's one of the nicer places (but no need to get dressed up to go). Pricing wise, it's not overly pricey but it's not dirt cheap either.
The ladies coming over to turn over your meat is normal. If they walk by and see that your meat needs turning (or if they think you might not have been to korean bbq before), they will stop by to help with the cooking. Of course, you can do it yourself if you want. I do a little of both. Cook it myself and let them help.
The Galbi is one of my favorites cuts of meat. bul go ki is also good. I would stick to those for red meat. You can't really go wrong with the chicken, but I prefer the red meat when i go to k-town.
Yes, I grill the chilis, garlic, and onions. But it's up to you whether or not you want to have them with your food.
